The project is framed within Optional Block A.1 – Manufacturing of Smart Vehicle Components, and the cross-cutting blocks: T.1 – Circular Economy Plan and T.2 – Digitalization.
The type of project is Industrial Research, under the line Research, Development, and Innovation.
The project’s main objective is to generate a new ecosystem of intelligent and multimodal mobility based on efficient and sustainable transportation. To this end, research will be carried out in two key areas:

Transformation of the automotive manufacturing industry towards a sustainable, digital model that integrates the principles of Industry 4.0.

New alternative propulsion systems for vehicles, focusing on electrified systems with zero GHG emissions, interconnected, and aimed at improving the efficiency of urban and interurban mobility.

The project falls within Block A.1 – Manufacturing of Smart Vehicle Components, and the transversal Blocks T.1 – Circular Economy Plan and T.2 – Industrial Digitalization. The project type corresponds to Training and Capacity Building applied to the PERTE for the Electric and Connected Vehicle (VEC), within the Training, Reskilling, and Technological Transfer line.
The main objective of the project is to provide Avanzare Innovación Tecnológica professionals with the practical skills necessary for lightweight manufacturing in the automotive sector, specifically in composite material lamination (Prepreg and Wet Layup), contributing to weight reduction, energy efficiency, and industrial sustainability.
To achieve this, research will be carried out in two key areas:

Transformation of the automotive manufacturing industry towards a sustainable, digital, and connected model, integrating Industry 4.0 principles and specialized hands-on training in advanced materials.

Promotion of the circular economy and energy efficiency through training in composite lamination processes, which are essential for the development of lightweight, high-performance components applicable to the electric and connected vehicle.
