avanSURFACE 14 is an additive used to increase the abrasion resistance and prevent the formation of burrs in EVA and EVA/Rubber mixtures, primarily developed for use in EVA foam sheets and injected EVA foam.

avanTIPOLISH is a powerful anti-abrasion for TPU. The problem is especially active in TPUs with a hardness lower than Shore A-85, in which high-speed milling and machining processes cause such drawbacks, allowing process speed to be increased and production time to be reduced.

Main characteristics of avanSURFACE 14:
  • Increase the abrasion resistance in the samples.
  • Efficiently reduces friction between rubber articles and other surfaces.
  • Protects rubber surfaces.

  • The product can reduce the torque and energy required to process rubber in the Banbury mixer. In addition, it can save energy during rubber production, while reducing CO2 emissions and the impact on its production.

Dosage and application of each product:

The typical dosage for each use is between 2- 7.5 parts per 100 parts of rubber, depending on the reinforcement needed for the sample. Due to the fact that EVA/rubber systems are all diverse and the effect on the final product obtained not only depends on the additive, it is recommended to try different dosages of avanSURFACE 14 to adjust the final effect.

This product can be used directly in the TPU production process. The necessary dosage to eliminate the problem will depend on the velocity and hardness of the TPU. At higher grinding speeds and lower hardness, a higher amount of additive is needed.
