Avanzare had the pleasure of participating in the second General Assembly of the ADAPTATION project, held on March 19–20, 2026, at the Institute of Supramolecular Science and Engineering (ISIS) of the University of Strasbourg. As a project partner, our participation allowed us to present the progress made, the results achieved, and the next strategic steps of our contribution to the consortium.

The meeting brought together 22 members from the nine institutions that make up the consortium, under the coordination of Sara Núñez from the Institute of Materials Science in Madrid (ICMM). Over two days, participants reviewed progress in each work area and consolidated the roadmap for the next 18 months, reaffirming a central objective: to integrate solar energy harvesting and thermal regulation into a single functional layer.

After two years of development, the ADAPTATION project has achieved significant advances in the design and optimization of its core components. Thanks to our joint work, an innovative approach is proposed that combines solar harvesting and thermal management in a material that is easily integrable, opening new possibilities in the field of multifunctional materials.

During the breaks, attendees had the opportunity to explore the facilities of the University of Strasbourg in greater depth, touring its laboratories and research spaces equipped with cutting-edge technology. These visits allowed participants to see firsthand the advanced resources available, from state-of-the-art analytical equipment to experimental spaces designed for interdisciplinary projects.

The university’s infrastructure not only facilitates the development of high-impact scientific projects like ADAPTATION but also reflects its strong commitment to research, technological innovation, and the training of highly skilled professionals. In addition, the tour provided an inspiring context for collaboration among the consortium members, demonstrating how the combination of talent, infrastructure, and scientific vision can drive transformative results in the field of multifunctional materials.

In addition, the meeting offered opportunities for networking and strengthening relationships among consortium members. Beyond the formal sessions, participants enjoyed tours of the city of Strasbourg, with its historic streets and vibrant cultural atmosphere, as well as informal dinners where they could sample the renowned French cuisine. These relaxed moments allowed partners to exchange experiences, share ideas, and explore new avenues of collaboration in a more personal and close setting.

At Avanzare, we are proud of the progress presented during this second assembly and of the consortium’s shared vision for the next steps. Furthermore, we reaffirm our strong commitment to future challenges and our active role in the success of the ADAPTATION project, confident that collaboration and joint innovation are the keys to achieving transformative results in the industry.
