The Government Delegate Visits Avanzare Thanks to Our Involvement in the Framework of the Electric and Connected Vehicle PERTE

At Avanzare Innovación Tecnológica, we are proud to have received the visit of the Government Delegate Beatriz Arraiz Nalda, who was able to see first-hand the work we are developing within the PERTE of the Electric and Connected Vehicle (PERTE VEC I). Our participation in this call translates into two lines of action that reflect our commitment to innovation, sustainability and the transformation of the mobility industry.
What do these lines of action consist of?
The first line of work focuses on the research and development of new interior lighting solutions for electric vehicles, with the aim of integrating capacitive and light sensors into wireless systems. Currently, an average vehicle contains between 30 and 60 kilos of copper in the form of wires; with our solution, we not only reduce that weight and cost but also facilitate the recycling of plastic components by eliminating the need to separate metallic materials.
To achieve this, we have developed our own technique called laser patterning, which allows us to create conductive circuits directly on an insulating surface enriched with graphene-based materials, using a laser. This innovation enables us to eliminate traditional wiring and move towards greater efficiency and sustainability.
In the second line of action, we are working on the development of lighter structural and non-structural components that also incorporate advanced properties such as thermal dissipation, fire resistance, and electromagnetic shielding. These features are essential in components such as the battery housing of electric vehicles.
In both projects, we are using graphene-based materials such as graphene oxide and graphite nanoplatelets, which we have been producing in-house for over a decade. Our experience in formulating, scaling, and adapting these materials to different matrices positions us as a key player in supplying technological solutions for the electric vehicle industry.
The visit from the Government Delegate was a recognition of our ongoing effort to lead innovation from La Rioja towards a more efficient future in the automotive industry.
