NUTRIA – EFA356/19

NUTRIA (New process for waste water treatment in the agri-food industry) is cofounded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) by the Interreg Programme Spain-France-Andorra (POCTEFA 2014-2020) of EU Commission.

The objective of the project is solving the problem of wineries and agri-food companies that located in rural zones cannot channel their waste water to treatment plants. This makes essential to develop a water purification technology, easy, efficient and clean to support these companies.

The four partners, University of La Rioja, the company Avanzare, the French Institute of Wine and Vineyard and the association Ecocene, has proposed a challenge: develop nanoparticles capable of degrading organic materials under their action (nanoparticles easy to eliminate with water). The technology is going to be tested under real conditions for companies and professionals of the sector.
